Laura King
Laura King, the Assistant Director of CTE for Bryan ISD, is in her second year as an Administrator in the Career & Technical Education Department. As a Bryan native, Laura has been a student or employee of Bryan ISD for over 30 years and is extremely proud of the continued focus on students and the community, especially within CTE.
“I believe that our role as educators is to not merely teach content, but to teach life skills that will reach well beyond the classroom. We must model behaviors in problem-solving, effective communication, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge. The goal is for our students to leave the classroom in a better position to make a difference in not only their lives, but the lives of those around them.”
This vision is most evident in the Bryan Career & Technical Education Complex, a regional training facility that opened in 2019. CTEC currently serves students from Bryan, College Station, Caldwell, and Snook that want to further their training in fields of Construction, Automotive, Welding, Industrial Engineering and Robotics.
